Alumni Network Hub
Establish and Grow Your Alumni Ecosystem
Alumni biotechnicians are potentially your most ardent supporters. If you’re not actively engaging them, you should be. We help community college bioscience programs develop and expand their alumni networks and industry contacts. Alumni can aid in recruitment and retention efforts, help improve your programs, and provide industry connections for your biotechnology students.
Who we are
The Alumni Networking Hub connects community college biotech programs—spanning urban, rural, and suburban regions—to engage alumni working in the biotechnology industry. Our collaborative initiative helps build strong alumni networks through virtual and in-person speed networking events, alumni advisory boards, and storytelling platforms like the Biotech Beat podcast and Scientist Spotlights. We provide tools and resources to help colleges develop alumni connections that foster career exploration, mentorship, and industry engagement. We strengthen pathways between education and industry to ensure continued student success in biotechnology careers.

Speed Networking
Speed networking events bring alumni and industry professionals together with students at 10-15 minute increments to discuss educational and career goals. The objective is to help students begin to build a network in their chosen technical field, learn more about that field, and develop confidence in talking with professionals currently working in that field.

Biotech Beat Podcast
Interviews with community college alumni capture their success stories in the biotech industry, and share educational and career journeys that students can identify with.
